Patricia Briggs
#1 New York Times bestselling author Patricia Briggs presents the first Alpha and Omega novel—the start of an extraordinary series set in Mercy Thompson’s world, but with rules of its own...Anna never knew werewolves existed until the night she survived a violent attack…and became one herself. After three years at the bottom of the pack, she’d learned to keep her head down and never, ever trust dominant males. But Anna is that rarest kind of werewolf: an Omega. And one of the most powerful werewolves in the country is about to recognize her value as a pack member—and as his mate.

"I shouldn't have to read a novella prequel just to understand the FIRST book in a series, if you want to give this book a chance start there. I have so many gripes with this book, so if you love the series or weak and pathetic women then don't read my short review. The heroine has gone through awful trauma but the book kinda just fixes it with a boring ML? No really, there is no meaningful character development or coping. The plot is sub par and I should just stop reading anything werewolf..."
"A good quick read!"

"Every time I reread (or in most cases, relisten) I love this series more and more. I always seem to forget how much I love this series when I reread the Mercy series.

I love seeing more Bran. I love getting to know Charles. The only thing I want is a little more of the stories, from Charles side, of the mischief that Mercy got into as a child. That would be something. There are references to the Mercy series only vaguely, but I'd like to see more."
"I've read the adjoining Mercy Thompson series and love it to pieces. I read this while I was waiting for 'Night Broken' to come out and kept my high hopes at bay to give the book a fair chance. It was strange as it nearly almost felt like it was a different author. Not in writing style, but just with how she wrote the characters and how they interacted with the world around them and each other. Anna's reactions towards her extreme abuse and neglect are superficial at best."
