"Buckle. IN. This is more a 3.5 than a 4, but I might change my mind later. Listen, it took me 3 years and 4 months to get to this point. There is so much in this series that broke me, and put me back together. This book was LONG, too long it feels. There are so many pages where it’s just Cecilia or Tobias declaring their undying love for each other as if we didn’t already know. But for some Dom flashbacks, I’ll do anything.
This is definitely an interesting Tobias perspective, however, we get to see what makes him tick in a way we didn’t before. Three times the locked down man, we get to see where the boys come from, how they were made, why things happen. The HEA is, yea it’s ok, it’s expected after all we’ve suffered. The character development is phenomenal, we watch Cecilia thrive from the corner Tobias always kept her safe at, while he gets to see what Cecilia felt time and time again. His groveling, *chef’s kiss* 10/10. However, could I have gone on in life, finishing Exodus without reading this? Yes. I almost did.
The end wraps up, at a medium pace, it felt like so much had happened to get there that by then I had no idea WTH was really going on, who was who or why they were important. But, all worth it I suppose to get to a point where the boy who wanted to change the rules finally got to. It’s hard to imagine, if the loss in Exodus was really necessary, was there ever a chance that Dom could have walked along side Sean, behind Tobias and Cecelia? Was there a different dynamic that could’ve been explored? Idk I think I’ll be forever biased, lol. Happy reading! "
"This last book of the series seemed a bit slower in my opinion. Also definitely more confusing with the author switching narrators constantly throughout the book. "
