"I adore Junji Ito's art style and it was incredible to see how Ito envisioned what Frankenstein's monster looked like in his mind!!! It adopted Mary Shelly's original plot, and gave it some horrifying and amazing illustrations!!! It made the story even more magical!
This book also included other fascinating short stories by Ito. I love all of his work, and it's refreshing to have fresh and new ideas in the horror genre! If you like horror, Ito is definitely an author you have to look into!"

"Was recommended to me by a friend. Holds the source material true, and through the use of pen, art showcases a beautifully horrific take on the monster within all of us. The collection is also really intriguing, and given very little context of how it came to be, the characters suck you into the horrors/mystery that each short graphic focuses on. Pen Pal is probably my personal favorite. "
