Prince of Wolves
Quinn Loftis
Jacque Pierce was just an ordinary 17 year old girl getting ready to start her senior year in high school in Coldspring, Texas. When a mysterious foreign exchange student from Romania moves in across the street, Jacque and her two best friends, Sally and Jen, don't realize the last two weeks of their summer was going to get a lot more interesting. From the moment Jacque sets eyes on Fane she feels an instant connection, a pull like a moth to a flame. Little does she know that the flame she is drawn to is actually a Canis Lupus, werewolf, and she just happens to be his mate; the other half of his soul. The problem is Fane is not the only wolf in Coldspring, Texas. Just as Fane and Jacque are getting to know each other, another wolf steps out to try and claim Jacque as his mate. Fane will now have to fight for the right to complete the mating bond, something that is his right by birth but is being denied him by a crazed Alpha. Will the love Fane has for Jacque be enough to give him the strength to defeat his enemy, will Jacque accept that she is Fane's mate and complete the bond between them?

"One of the best books I’ve read in a long time. It was perfect! It had all the right elements to make a perfect YA werewolf book. 100% better than twilight. No spice, but so much romance you can feel there love through the authors words!"

"I first read this series back when I was 15, that was 6 years ago now! And I will say that the writing style is not the best, but I fell in love with the characters, ans that made it not matter that much to me. But I will say, that the writing style improves drastically with each book! Just as all of us, Quinn Loftis grew and learned as a writer. She makes me fall in love with all of the characters! It’s a good read ans I really think you should give it a chance! #paranormal #greywolves #loveit "

"Alright, so there's the great and the terrible. Let's start with what I didn't agree with- grammatical errors run rampant throughout the book with inaccurate comma placements and simply awkward syntax prompts. Some of the reactions feel incredibly unrealistic (i.e. Friend hears random hot dude's voice in her head. Other friends: well, you're not crazy, so it must be true. Let's investigate hot guy and trust every feeling and thought you have). It's just not realistic.
HOWEVER, all of that aside, the writing improves drastically in dialogue and plot as the story goes along. The characters are extremely likeable as they have sarcasm, wit, and actual expressive emotion! Huzzah!!! The characters are unique individuals for the most part with distinct features that give them voice while still giving them a synergy that shows their close friendship. The world in and of itself is skillfully crafted and revealed in a way that doesn't bore the reader and allows for proper processing of information.
Overall, the writing isn't the greatest, but the story draws you in and keeps you entertained. If you can look past the technical skills, then this is definitely a book to pick up."
