When a tragic accident takes the life of seventeen-year-old Raven Roth's foster mom--and Raven's memory--she moves to New Orleans to live with her foster mother's family and finish her senior year of high school. Starting over isn't easy. Raven remembers how to solve math equations and make pasta, but she can't remember her favorite song or who she was before the accident. When strange things start happening--impossible things--Raven starts to think it might be better not to know who she was in her previous life. But as she grows closer to her foster sister, Max, her new friends, and Tommy Torres, a guy who accepts her for who she is now, Raven has to decide if she's ready to face what's buried in the past...and the darkness building inside her. From the #1 New York Times bestselling co-author of Beautiful Creatures Kami Garcia, and artist Gabriel Picolo, comes this first graphic novel in the Teen Titans series for DC Ink, Teen Titans: Raven.

"I can't deny I was very excited to read this when it was fist announced. I absolutely love the art and the story. Though it differs from some other Raven story in terms of setting and certain situations, I liked that Kami Garcia kept key elements that make up Raven's character. I felt that we able to really connect to her. A very different take on the Teen Titans though I'm curious to see what Kami Garcia has in store for us in the upcoming Teen Titans: Robin."
"This is a nice ya take on the superhero, Raven. She moves in with her aunt after her adoptive mother dies in a car crash. She has to adjust to a new school, new family and secrets about who she is. None of it is made easier by her amnesia caused by the same crash that killed her mother. It’s a very different origin than most comic versions of her as Raven grows up on earth rather than a different world but it keeps the most important parts of her backstory. However it is a nice introduction to the character. It takes a lot of influence from the Teen Titans cartoon and the Titans show. It’s pretty average as far as YAs go but I had fun. The biggest disappointment for me was that it didn’t explore its setting and some side characters enough. The art is solid and makes use of interesting shading. This book is mostly standalone but is also the start of its own little line of interconnected books."
