"This was probably one of the worst books I have read in awhile. The beginning was so slow and the plot twist was ehhh. I don’t recommend this "

"304 pages… 3.75 stars, the plot twist at the end was absolutely crazy. I never saw it coming. I love the way it wrapped up! Kind of slow build, and I was so infuriated the whole time. But that shows good writing I guess because the mother in law is supposed to be infuriating "

"Her other books are fabulous! This was very disappointing and I only read it because it was hyped up@as a Reese Bookclub Pick. The Blame Game, Half Sister and Guilt Trip are much better!"

"I think this book may be a 3.5⭐ for me, but I'm rounding it up to 4⭐ because I did enjoy it. I tore through it in one night & I was totally hooked. I read a book with a similar plot last year, and my problem with that book was that it didn't go dark/crazy enough. This one did.

My main problem was that I was incredibly frustrated by the main character by the end. I couldn't rationalize her behavior anymore, and she didn't seem to be the same way she had been represented at the beginning of the novel. This book does get pretty over-the-top at times & you have to suspend your disbelief. I think I may have been wanting logic from characters who behaved illogically. The relationship moves really fast, and sometimes the timing of things was odd.

Something that I have seen in another book recently is characters "forgetting" about technology for the benefit of lengthening a story. There is no way that Emily would not have recorded Pammy's behavior to show Adam. Current authors are going to have to find a way to get creative with this because it's just not the way the world works anymore.

I was surprised by the ending, which is always a treat. I'm looking forward to reading more from Sandie Jones! This book had solid drama & I had fun reading it!"
