"Ever heard of the term "Boy Mom?"

I've seen this entity all my life, but until a few years ago, I didn't have a name for it.

Boy Mom.

It's one of the worst species on the planet!

If you look up the term, it'll tell you a Boy Mom is a mom who is emotionally incestuous with her son(s).

But, I see Boy Moms as even more than that.

Boy Moms are those videos of gender reveal where the pregnant woman acts disappointed when the color is pink.

Boy Moms are moms who covet, protect, and love their sons more over their daughters.

I hate them so much.

One way to spot a Boy Mom in the making is if she is a PICK ME, before she has children.

Now I don't need to explain to you what a Pick Me is.

And one way to spot a current Boy Mom is to watch her fawn over her sons, while making her daughters do the chores around the house, and serve the men around the house.

Ok. Now that my rant about Boy Moms is over, I can totally reveal that Abby, (heroine's mother) was a total Boy Mom.

Imagine you lose a child... if you have another child, wouldn't you be even more protective over that remaining child?

Nope, not Abby.

Her son "gave her life meaning," so her daughter, who is still alive, by the way, means nothing to her.

Oh, and she shot her daughter, by the way. With a gun. Imagine shooting your daughter...

Ew.

Boys Moms. Ew.

And mentally ill Boy Moms?

Even worse.

You never want to accounter one in the wild.

Protect yourselves out there!"

"i loved Aidan and Elsas story. Their connection is so strong and their flashbacks from when they were children warmed my heart so much.

Honestly nothing can beat the first book but i loved the closure from finishing their story and finally learning their history.

The switching POVs between Elsa and Aidan and the token ones from their fathers are a bit weird and didnt really fit smoothly into the storyline, but i got over it.

I’m looking forward to reading more by Rina Kent!"
