"On Rotation is about Angela Appiah who is the daughter of Ghanaian immigrants. She feels like she's finally a good immigrant daughter because she got into medical school, has a suitable boyfriend, and had good successful friends. This all falls apart because she fails an important medical exam, her best friend ignores her and stoops talking to her and her boyfriend breaks up with her. She also has a falling out with her parents because they haven't been the most supportive of her. Angela starts questioning her life, especially why her love life, friendship, and career are a huge mess. We see her navigate her friendship, work, and love life through the ups and downs of life. I liked this book, it was a good debut novel, I really liked the journey Angela had to go through especially when trying to find a balance between life work, and love. The romance part was okay until the miscommunication trope hit which I'm not a fan of but the end tied up nicely which made for a good read."
