Madison C I would say yes, but maybe get the first few books from your library rather than buying them. See if you like them before spending money on them.

Mary Took me two tries to get into city of bones but it was also my first urban fantasy read when I was younger. I’ve read the Mortal Instruments and the Infernal Devices series from her and loved them both!

Julz I tried the first book this year and didn’t like it. I rated it 3 stars. It’s probably because I’m 18 and most people who like this are 11-14. So I would say it’s not worth it but it’s up to you.

Brian strong I really didn't want to take the time to read her series from the start, so I started with the Chain of Gold book. I really enjoyed this series although I was missing out on some of the backstories. I also really liked her new book Sword Catcher. Definitely an author you can enjoy even if you are older like I am
