Calamity Jane

"A Tubi Original, from 2024. AT FIRST I didn't think this would be good and that Emily Bett Rickards was not a good choice for the part of Calamity Jane, but then she grew on me and I changed my mind. I was quite entertained! Plenty of action, shooting, fights, and more... NOT boring. You also see Wild Bill Hickok in here, and Calamity Jane was a calamity, yes... However, I think I liked Priscilla Faia who played the part of Abigail even more, and she was a bit of the calamity herself! Might have been some competition going on there... At first I thought was this movie so low-budget they couldn't even afford to find an actor without braces on her teeth??? (The braces seemed a bit out of place for that time period.) THEN I discovered THOSE WEREN'T BRACES!! You just have to see it for yourself!! Just hilarious!! Abigail stole the show imo as you could tell how all that chaos was just right up her alley--so funny to see her reactions... 🤣🤣 There is also a 1995 two-episode miniseries available on Prime at this time that I saw in the past entitled, "Buffalo Girls," with Anjelica Huston as Calamity Jane and Sam Elliott as Wild Bill Hickok, plus several other familiar actors. I sure wouldn't mind doing a rewatch of this as recall enjoying the first time I watched this longer ago."
