"I like Mononokehime because the story doesn’t try to dichotomize the characters as good or evil. The spirits of the forest want to live and the humans of iron town want to live but that desire forces humans and nature into conflict. The protagonist is in a special position because he doesn’t belong to any group. Even the main romance comes off as human because the characters go down different paths but they still hold a mutual respect for each other. It’s a beautiful 🎞. "

"So I have seen this film a lot of times. I just haven’t gotten to liking it on likewise. Anyway I would say this is possibly one of my favorite films by studio Ghibli. I’m all for forest preservation and overall nature. The film is such a good reminder of needing forest/nature areas for those species who thrive there. Also, the little white bobble head dudes (forgot thrir name ) are so fricken cute "
