" Dreux lives with her roommate Alyssa at a pretty run-down apartment complex with a shady landlord. Alyssa’s boyfriend was entrusted to pay the rent and of course he blew the money. Now they are tasked with trying to figure out how to get the money before the end of the day when the landlord plans to kick them out. This movie gave me Friday vibes with all the colorful characters they interact with in the neighborhood. Everyone had pretty good chemistry which made the timing of the bits and jokes land a little better. The story itself is kind of disjointed and feels more like they were just going from one bit to the next. The 3rd act added this gangster element that really didn’t fit the comedy and tone of the rest of the movie. If you want an urban type Friday comedy this one is ok.
