"I defer to Amari Baraka on this movie; just read the autobiography and maybe his diary. Yea this movie doesn’t include his time in Africa talking to everyone from heads of state to common folk on Africa’s/the Global South’s new position in a post WWII world where the empires of old are collapsing. That in my opinion is what separates the real Malcolm from this movie’s rendition of Malcolm. Still a serviceable movie but it’s omission of that formative moment is a sin. "
"Exceptional acting and story. "
