"For me, 2014 was a pinnacle year. I look back then and find what I believe are the best movies, the best music, and the best memories. John Wick is absolutely a part of that. I grew up mostly on campy Chuck Norris movies, which while I still love them, are all extremely similar in tone and it made me weary of watching any sort of action movie. Until John Wick. This film reinvented action movies for me, it's so incredibly original with its tone, it's action, it's filmography, it's stunts. It really was the breath of fresh air I needed to reignite my love for the genre. Thank you once again, Keanu, for the insane amount of work you did making this movie special. "

"I'm finally getting around to watching this movie in 2023. I didn't find this movie to be too exciting compared to more recent action movies, and I still enjoy the Matrix movies more than this one at least. I found it to be slightly predictable in my opinion."
