"John Candy. I miss him. This is a warmly hilarious take on what happens when the "black sheep" Uncle has to watch the kids when their parents have a family illness to attend to out of town. Enter Uncle Buck, the hilarious, caring and just what the kids need, Uncle. I've seen it countless times since it premiered. Definitely a classic John Hughes film. Highly recommend. "
"3.5⭐️ rewatch I think. John Candy at his inappropriate best. It was fun seeing tiny Macaulay Culkin and Gaby Hoffmann plus a super young Laurie Metcalf who is always hilarious. The movie was ok, I might’ve stopped watching but it grew on me a lot more as it went along with a mix of John Hughes heartfelt moments and the Candy brand slapstick which did have me laughing out loud enough to make it worth a precious rewatch.
