"My favorite actor Viggo Mortensen, with a bonus Alan Tudyk. Sandra Bullock is great here. I've been to inpatient and group therapy and individual therapy for almost 2 decades of my life. Not for addiction but the therapy is similar. So I get this movie. Steve Buscemi is great as the counselor. If you've ever experienced therapy, group, individual, etc. this will be familiar. "

As someone who knows the intoxicating power of addiction and the horrific loss, I thought Sandra Bullock was exemplary in her depiction of an addict in denial.
