"I watched the whole thing as it was an interesting movie. So many life lessons. The mom learned that she has favouritism and that people are not just judged on their looks, but their character. The step dad learned to listen to all of his children. The dad learned to open up his eyes to see what he is missing. I'm not really sure what the step mum learned. Laura learned what life would be like without guardians. The middle step brother learned to stick up for himself. The step sister learned that guys are horrible. Etc. The ending with the second step mum and the older step brother was gross though"

"This is such a fun, sweet movie! Heartfelt in a semi-cheese way but also smart & sarcastic in a lot of moments. The scenery is gorgeous, I’ve wanted to go there for years after seeing this movie. The lead actress Hillary Wolf is perfect in the role, & also recognizable as one of Kevin’s siblings in Home Alone. Ben Savage is super young & cute in this, & Jenny Lewis (Troop Beverly Hills; The Wizard) is underutilized in it but I still love seeing her—she’s an amazing singer/musician now, one of my favorites. Adrienne Shelley (RIP) is cute & ethereal in this, & it’s good to see Dan Futterman who’s so cute in The Birdcage. It’s worth watching this movie for sure as a kid/younger teen but I still watch it as an adult; it’s the perfect comfort movie"

"Portrays family more realistic than others. As someone with a pretty big family it’s not just a simple fight. We argue, storm off, and get so frustrated with each other. Overall, it’s a really cute movie 💕"
