"As Rom/Coms go, this one is well above average. It has some really funny parts and some equally sad and heartbreaking moments, that are needed to ultimately lead to the romantic and uplifting parts. Good chemistry between Jason Segel and Emily Blunt. 7.5/10"

"I liked the movie, but it felt like it was mischaracterized to me as a comedy when most of it was really sad. It felt terrible watching the devolution of Violet and Tom’s relationship and I felt like the stale donut metaphor was very fitting. It was so tragic which is why it made the ending of them finding they’re way back to each other so cute and uplifting. This movie is a good watch about how relationships are hard, perfect timing is an illusion and that all you need to make love work is the willingness and commitment to do so. That being said, a few moments got some chuckles out of me."
