"This was a huge disappointment for me—but I have to admit that I’m typically NOT a Horror & SciFi fan—They’re my least favorite genres. However, I was willing to pay to see this because I like Peele’s first 2 movies, Get Out & Us. I did enjoy all the acting of the 4 main actors, especially Keke Palmer (👍🏽👍🏽), but this movie was a bit too slow-moving. The scenes with the “aliens” & the praying mantis cracked me up & I thought Gordy the chimp 🙉 was good & creepy 👍🏽 Other than that:😴👎🏽💤"
" 3⭐️ Completely ridiculous and weirdly awkward but guess I kinda enjoyed it on some level. I think JP was going for creepy sci fi western? I didn’t quite get that until the end so if so it didn’t really work. It’s just such a mishmash that didn’t make much sense. The last two shots were great though and I felt oddly satisfied at the end. "
"I really enjoyed this movie although I don’t think it’s Jordan Peeles best movie that’s still Get Out for me..BUT this movie is still a very interesting take on Alien sci-fi and something I would like to see again. The acting was Impeccable and it was beautiful..I say it’s something to see for sure. 👍🏻"
"I wasn't sure what to expect after seeing so many mixed reviews, but I truthfully enjoyed this movie. Its different, which i always appreciate, cause it's not strictly an "alien" movie. There's a lot of deeper meaning, some gore but not how I would've expected it, emotion that's not ridiculous, suspense, and an amazing cast. I guess it's not for everyone, but it's worth the gamble to find out. Especially for some of the graphics at the end, like damn props to whoever worked on that cause it was beautiful. "
"Personally I loved it! Excellent atmosphere, pacing, and acting throughout. I know expectations have been throwing people off so I'll say this now. This is not a straight up Horror ok, this is not the conjuring, this is not insidious. And is also very different from, to mention of course Peele's work itself, his other more horror films like Us. It has horror esque elements to it for sure but has lots of other genre bending goodness. Give it a shot with a good mindset."
