"What a blast! I forgot how much I loved this 1980's "superhero" film! It has the perfect plot: Man reinvents himself after he is left for dead. He wants his life back, and takes revenge. But his lady love is left behind. Love it! Ted Raimi, (our beloved Joxer from Xena: Warrior Princess has a small role. His father, Sam Raimi, directed the film. Bruce Campbell has a brief cameo in the last scene.)"
"Such a truly unique and fun superhero film! I really love those trademark Sam Raimi shots, utilized to full effect here. Fantastic production values, cinematography, makeup effects, and especially the performance by Liam Neeson. Such a unique concept to explore for a superhero movie too, both in terms of origin story as well as the exploration of PTSD and psychological impact of burns in a way that we do not see in this genre. The movie is imbued with a sense of personality that is sorely missing in modern superhero movies. I can totally see why Raimi later did the Spider-Man trilogy, one of the rare times where the director was able to infuse their sensibilities to the movies. This is a movie that more people need to check out."

"Great old-school action flick. Felt a renaissance of the original Batman movie while watching this. "
