Nine years later, Jesse travels across Europe giving readings from a book he wrote about the night he spent in Vienna with Celine. After his reading in Paris, Celine finds him, and they spend part of the day together before Jesse has to again leave for a flight. They are both in relationships now, and Jesse has a son, but as their strong feelings for each other start to return, both confess a longing for more.

"An excellent follow up to the original. It's just as good and sometimes better because it's the "after" of a "perfect" thing and that's not often explored or done well in any medium. "

"Ughhh this movie has such a nostalgic feeling to it. It really screams the notion of “what if?” It was so fascinating to see how Jessie and Céline changed in the 9 years they were apart and devastating to find out what happened when they were supposed to meet. The banter between Ethan and Julie is so organic and witty. I felt like I was intruding. This feeling was elevated by how he stares at her. Like she’s the culmination of all his dreams and hopes. I was so wrapped up in this film I didn’t even realize it was the end until Jessie said “I know.” It was so short but so wonderful!"
