I 💙 a teen rebel! 🤘🏾🎸🚬😎🎶🧑🏽🎤 Especially if its a teen #rebel at a cheap (or snooty) Irish Catholic school! 😜
⭐️ Many star’s in this you’ll recognize:
⭐️Lucy Boynton from BOHEMIAN RHAPSODY plays the teenage love interest and
⭐️Jack Reynor from THE PERIPHERAL plays the older bro with long hair (almost didn’t recognize him!) & he’s a constant scene-stealer, imo🤩 #lighthearted #feelgood #FUN From the same director as the 🎥 ONCE movie!

""Sing Street" is an Outstanding Celebration of music, the poetry of lyrics, friendship & perseverance to turn a dream into reality! Colorfully Illustrated through the hearts & creative minds of teens stuck in a rigid school of conformity, tolerating no expression of individuality, these talented kids triumph over all adversity. Both through inspiration from 80s icons, as well as, personally written by & performed for their (at 1st glance), unsupporting peers by their newly formed band; this film's upbeat original score will carry on with you long after the movie ends."
"I’m a big fan of a lot of the 80’s bands that get referenced in this movie (especially The Cure) so this movie was practically tailor made for me! Kind a disappointing that for a movie about rock music set in Ireland in the 80’s there’s no reference to The Pogues or even U2 (yes, I like U2, get over it lol)"
"This movie was sweet and innocent. Lovely story, great music from the 1980’s, great acting too!"

"I watched this on St. Patrick's Day looking for something light and funny and this film was the perfect choice. The plot isn't exactly heavy/deep, but still manages to show how the main character responds to the obstacles in his life through positivity and music. Reading that, it sounds cheesy, but I loved the score so much that I had the soundtrack on repeat days after. Ferdia Walsh-Peelo plays the main, Conor, with a comedic flair that I want to see more in movies now -especially coming-of-age stories. My family and I thought he CARRIED the film. His other movie, CODA, is also a favorite of mine. His character's uniquely positive and strong in how he deals with his issues in both family and school. The cast's relatable and hilarious and the sets are iconic and, dare I say, meme-worthy. It's timeless, to be honest. My favorite scenes have to be the forming of their band. Jack Reynor (plays Brendan) and Mark McKenna (plays Eamon) stood out to me because of how their characters influenced Conor and encouraged him to grow. Lucy Boynton was great, too, but I actually thought her character brought the film down a bit towards the ending as it was underwhelming. Overall, I'd rate this a 8/10 🖤 For a light-hearted coming-of-age musical, I think they nailed a lot of things especially the 80s inspired musical score. It's the main reason why I love putting this movie on in the background so often. Give this a try because it gets better the more I watch it. "
