"In a world of magic, a prophecy was told the a child would be born that would destroy an evil Queen that has brought darkness upon the land. When the child was born the evil Queen sent her forces to find her, what she didn’t know is the the child would come upon a Nelwyn who would journey with her! Worth watching as the group of two gains allies to fight against those who wish to take what isn’t theirs!"
"3.5 before there was Frodo there was willow, Ron Howard’s small hero. I found this to be good family entertainment!!!"

"This was a lot. It's incredibly complex and I acknowledge the storytelling skills. I also really think it made a lot of progress for when it came out. Each character felt real but they also felt like a bad version of a stage play. I think that's more due to the quality of the film in total though.
I'm not sure how this was ever considered a kids movie. And I definitely wouldn't show it to kids either. It's kind of a fun time but it is a diverse and rich story. So it's not something you're just gonna casually watch. You have to be invested otherwise you will find no joy in it.
Again I do appreciate what it did progress wise and I think its sequel continued that. I mean, for this to come out when it did, have the cast it did, and make a story about a chosen one baby yet the hero is a Nylmn from nowhere is beyond creative.
All of it was impressive I can't argue with that. It just felt lacking in something that I can't quite pinpoint yet. But I have many friends who would fight to defend this movies honor.
The reason I pressed like over dislike though is because I appreciate the leaps and bounds it made. And no I'm not just talking about casting, I'm also talking about characters. About how the chosen one was not the main character. About how a tiny baby is the Progresser of the story. About how this strange and intense movie touched people's hearts.
I saw it a few years ago and thought I'd never come back. Then the sequel came out and I wanted to watch it. I did and I truly saw what it did and how it did it. It impressed me. I wasn't entertained really, but I was impressed. "
