"The couple at the lake watching him approach is one of the most terrifying scenes in cinema. "

"Zodiac is a gripping and meticulous thriller that recreates the hunt for one of America’s most elusive serial killers. Based on the books by Robert Graysmith, the film follows the investigation of the Zodiac murders that terrorized the San Francisco Bay Area in the late 1960s and early 1970s.
The film focuses on the perspectives of two journalists and two detectives who become obsessed with cracking the case, even as the killer taunts them with letters, ciphers, and phone calls.
Director David Fincher masterfully crafts a suspenseful and atmospheric film that immerses the viewer in the time and place of the events. He uses digital cameras to achieve a realistic and detailed look and avoids sensationalizing the violence or glamorizing the killer. Instead, he shows the frustration and toll that the case takes on the lives and careers of the protagonists, who are portrayed by an excellent cast of actors.
Zodiac is a long and complex film that spans several years and locations, but it never loses its momentum or coherence. It is a riveting and intelligent film that respects the facts and the mystery of the case and does not offer easy answers or closure. It is one of Fincher’s best films and one of the finest examples of the genre."
