Abigayle

Oh my goodness! I love how Verene is not ashamed or guilty of being royalty. She accepts it as a part of who she is and does her best with that power to help her country. She is extremely intelligent and knows how to navigate politics yet is humble and admits her mistakes. Verene is also a sweet and thoughtful friend. She is a very good character and the romance is very nice.

I liked this book. The main character is sweet and innocent which I believe are lost character traits in a lot of female YA main characters.
