I hate how sad this story has to be, but that’s what makes the book so compelling. I loved how connected I felt with each character in this book. It’s definitely triggering as the story is about a school shooting, and obviously this is an issue we have been struggling with in the U.S. However, it’s a powerful story and an easy read.

I finished this book at 3:00 AM last night, because it was so hard to put down. I couldn’t wait to find out if the baby was okay! I genuinely enjoyed the story, characters, and flow of the book. As a mother, I specifically appreciated the realness of Anne’s motherhood journey. I also liked how fast-paced the story was, which is another reason why is was so easy to read. My only negative comment would be that there were times I just wanted it to end already, but maybe that was just because of my curiosity. I would recommend though, especially it being such a quick read.
