I didn’t know this was based off of a book but I’d love to read it. I’m halfway through the show and I really like it a lot. It’s refreshing to have a look into the culture in different stages of wealth.

This is one of my favorite shows! Definitely unlike others during it’s time. So good.

I loved this movie. It had just the right amount of humor to cut into the realistic side of it all. Obviously Joaquin Phoenix did a fantastic job. But I was actually very into Jonah Hill’s acting in this movie!! So good.

The inner cringe romantic side of me thoroughly enjoyed this book. I half wanted Ryle to be a bigger problem than he actually was. I guess I can say that Colleen’s style of writing has given me an appreciation for its simplicity and lack of layers. This book was a heartwarming pallet cleanser for me to consume. I think that It Ends With Us and It Starts With Us will be two books that I will reread in the future when I need some comfort in my life.

I watched this movie when it first came out so I’m a little wishy washy on the details. I do however remember really liking it and being surprised that I did. I’d definitely watch it again!!

I actually love this movie. I’m a big fan of the way the dialogue is delivered, the color scheme, the design. All the effort put into the little details. There’s just A LOT going on. Who cares about the lack of a plot. I loved that this movie made me feel very comfortable within the strangest family dynamic but also incredibly anxious the entire time. I can’t even put it all in words and I feel like I can go on forever about it. I don’t recommend this movie for people who appreciate more simplistic viewing material, it just won’t be for you. Watching this movie is like binging two entire seasons of Gilmore Girls in one sitting on fast forward. Only instead of heavy pop culture references, it’s heavy on theory.

This is my second read of A Colleen Hoover book. I find her writing style to be fairly corny and her characters to be lacking depth on the surface so far. A lot of the scenarios I was able to guess before they were played out. However, I think she does a fantastic job story telling in a way that is simplistic, while also pulling at your heart strings the way you want it to. Tears were shed. My heart was warmed. It was also vindicated by the end of it. I think she did a phenomenal job showcasing on a surface level how complex love can be in scenarios like this book describes. I find her lead character to be brazen, confident and lacking the depth of insecurity that would cause someone to push past their own boundaries to get to that place of security. I found Lily to be very adult like in her thoughts at a very young age, even if they were misconstrued from her perspective about the situation. I wanted there to be more layers to her. But I also think the book wouldn’t have been the same if there were. It was overall a beautiful read despite my shortcomings with the writing style and I have a big appreciation for this beautiful story.

I picked this book up late last night and only put it down to sleep, eat and shower. Disturbing, but gripping from the first sentence until the very last. I also read the additional chapter, which CHANGES EVERYTHING. This book is a bag of mixed emotions for me. I don’t know which thought to cling to after finishing. And after finishing that additional chapter I feel that I’m going to have to give this book a second read to look for red flags from a certain character that we all know who I’m talking about! I think this is the first book I’ve ever read that leaves me with so many mixed emotions for all the characters involved. Well done Colleen Hoover, you have me hooked! On another note, I gifted this book to my mother before reading and I hope she forgives me for all the R-rated love scenes she is about to read.
