Where do I begin. This book tore my heart out and stomped on it, but that’s okay because it was a really incredible read. The romance Achilles and Paltroclus (definitely butchered that) had was simple and beautiful, but then they were forced into impossible circumstances where that love still powered through, it was beautiful.

This book is a masterpiece and one of my new absolute favorites. Marie-Laure and Warner’s contrasting lives through the same time period showcase how even though we come from different backgrounds, in the end we are all human, we are all trying our best. This book is incredibly well-written and has the perfect balance of solemness, hope, and suspense that one would expect from a book that takes place during World War 2.

I LIVE for books like ACOTAR!! A faerie enemies to lovers? Yes please!!! While I do have a feeling my ship won’t last till the end of the series, I’m still going to hope! But in all seriousness, this book was amazing. The plot will peak your interest from the very beginning and will have you turning pages like a madman to find out the truth about Tamlin and his home.

Such a beautiful book with a powerful message. I loved the introvert-extrovert friend dynamic Rufus and Mateo had and how that new friendship blossomed into an innocent romance. It was to die for!! (to soon?)

New favorite!!! I was captivated by glamour and mystery of Evelyn’s life from the very beginning. She’s a strong woman who inspires me greatly and I would love to have more books with main characters like her. I’m also a sucker for romance and I got plenty of that throughout the course of this book. Overall 100/10, would definitely recommend (unless you don’t like spice, then you might want to pass this one up)
