"Edit: 4.5/5*s
Starting with 3*s after watching the first episode of 6. I enjoyed it a lot.
(It's weird that I just watched an Egyptian movie and now I'm watching an Egyptian show. It's quite coincidental. I didn't even realize this was going to be Egyptian! It looked like something I was in the mood for and I don't care which country movies/shows come from. Usually I just start watching it and find out where it's from when I set up the subtitles. I despise dubbing! Also, the movie and this show are my first two ventures into Egyptian entertainment! Sorry, I just think its a strange coincidence. As usual I waste your time with too much information. But I treat my reviews as though I'm talking to friends, not strangers. 𝢚 )
I'm excited to watch more but I can't binge tonight so I'll probably finish the show tomorrow night. This show is funny and a mystery (or a few, I don't know yet) and spooky and paranormal, of course. That's a great combination, in my opinion. So far so good. Just leaving it right in the middle with 3*s until I finish the season. Sadly, it has been talked about that a second season might be coming but it won't be on Netflix. That makes me wonder how I will watch it! 𝤔
I just finished the first and only (so far, I hope) season and it was quite good. It was funny and spooky and bloody at times. It had a great storyline and after watching the final episode, the twist makes me want to go back and watch it again. And I probably will.
Refaat is a great character and after learning this series is adapted from a series of books by an Egyptian author, Ahmed Khaled Towfik, now I really want to read them, except that there are 81 novels! It is actually a goal of mine to read at least one book from every country. This just might be my first one!
