"if you love a dramatic #periodpiece or #historicalfiction that also includes #romance, you might really enjoy this wonderfully-produced #BBC TV series. I binged it over the weekend on #PrimeVideo. ▪️And I continue to be impressed by Paul Dano’s performances. Unfortunately, he does not have “leading man good looks,” but his acting ability always shines in what few films I’ve seen him in ▪️Lily James was exquisite as always, and I also enjoyed the characters played by Jessie Buckley & James Norton…. ▪️But this show includes a very comprehensive & stellar cast of many favorite British actors. "

"It took me long enough to finally watch it and I am glad I did. The show is great, that is if you never read Tolstoy and you don’t speak Russian. Unfortunately for me, I have and the show has my biggest pet peeves in regards to use of foreign language in an English production. But if I didn’t know what I do , it’s a beautiful show, actors are great the story is timeless and it would totally be 5 stars. "
