Most people don’t give it a shot cause it looks like it’s for kids and the advertisements for it are trash. Trollhunters has a continuous plot with essentially no filler, and is very character focused; which are my favorite things a show can do. I find that too many shows focus on action over dialogue, and that’s where this show differs nicely. The conversations and character interactions are plentiful and meaningful. There’s also plenty of high stakes and angst while still balancing humor and fluff where it’s needed. (Although the humor can be cringey at times, but that’s really this shows only fault). This is one of the few shows that didn’t leave me wanting more (in a good way). This show did everything I wanted it to do and more. It’s truly so so good. Everyone that I’ve convinced to watch this show has reported back that they’ve loved it and they’ve thanked me for recommending it to them. The first two episodes should be good enough to convince you that it’s worth your time. (Also as a side note, you should definitely check out Wizards after you’ve finished Trollhunters, because it works as a perfect epilogue! But go ahead and skip 3Below because it’s horrendous and not even relevant to the plot so you’re not missing anything.)"

kami_bethancourth shared a tip "I watched this when I saw my dad watching it in its early seasons, so when I watched (cuz I had nothing better to do) it was alright but ended up ditching it due to boredom and how the plot moved. Overall I wouldn’t recommend to someone else 😬🤷🏽‍♀️"

But then I was on vacation and didn't know what to watch and tried it. Boy was I suprised, it was actually pretty good especially for an animated show. Binged all 3 seasons in about 3 days."
