"Watched 1st 3 episodes. The period piece stuff is straight , the game action is better than most. The cast is wonderful and they are telling stories that need to be told. But I’m just bored watching it. Seems like a network show. Not sure what it’s missing but it’s something. "

"Adapting a film that has so much cultural familiarity is tricky, but this was well done! It retains a lot of the joy from the original while delving much deeper into the reality of the player’s lives and experiences, particularly around race and sexuality. And there’s nuance and complexity there, too - there’s not one Black experience or one queer experience but many. I didn’t mind the occasionally anachronistic language or music, and I thought there were just enough Easter eggs to please fans of the 1992 movie. The cast is incredible from top to bottom. I hope this becomes as beloved as the movie. "

"I love the story of girls baseball starting up. However I’m not entirely sure about this adaptation yet. I thought the point of the show was to be able focus on other characters as well.. dive deeper into them. So far it’s the two friends, Shaw, and max. And of course max’s friend. I defiantly think they could have done more with the other characters on the team. I’m not yet finished with the season, so maybe they will but from looks of it .. it doesn’t seem like it. "

"I loved the movie so decided to try it out. I’m four or five episodes in so far and am enjoying it a lot so far. I do miss some of the characters from the original movie but I love the more in depth storyline of how women’s baseball began and what is was like for women in the early 40s"

"Terrific television series. I absolutely loved 🥰 the way they expanded the stories in the movie. Kinda went a little more into the characters. Gave the viewers a little deeper idea of what the characters were all about. A 10 out of 10. Looking forward to season two. Can’t wait. Great cast and wonderful episodes. Awesome television.
