The humor gets so tiresome that I’d rather watch the 2003 adaptation and movie despite its flaws because 2003 knows when to stop with the humor and let scenes play off with the mood they were going for. Yes I really dislike this anime but it’s still a decent entry level anime so you just won’t see me recommend this to anyone. "

"Honestly? Kind of overrated. Moves really slowly and while I’m sure these frames worked in the manga they just looked stiff and awkward in animation. There’s no sense of life to it. I’ve seen clips of the 2003 version and it looks much better tbh. Yes, I know this followed the manga closer, but that’s not an automatic guarantee of better quality."
