"A #truecrime series — TV-MA — Premiers Sunday, 11/6/2022 at 9PM on Showtime. The NYT says, “This 4-part docu-series is textured & inquisitive in ways many of the current true-crime shows are not; it’s also leaner & more assured. ‘Spector’ paints a full picture not only of a perpetrator — here, the music producer & convicted murderer Phil Spector — but also of his victim, the actress Lana Clarkson. Moments that would be eye-rollingly pat if they appeared in fiction are instead haunting here in their veracity, but the use of dinky re-enactment footage sometimes erodes the power in that contrast. A lot of shows right now are swimming in similar waters, but this one is actually good.” https://www.imdb.com/title/tt21882434/"
"This is a very tragic doc. I hadn’t known the story, so this provided information about not just the crime and Phil Spector, but the victim, Lana. "

"It could have been great, but it was just edited terribly. The pacing was off, there were so many important details left out, and there was too much focus on areas that ought not to have been. It served largely as biography of Spector rather than the true-crime doc it was purported to be. "
