"This show is raunchy, provocative, dark and all kinds of effed up…. But above all else, it’s entertaining as hell. The characters are so nuanced. I love a good anti-hero, and this series is chock full of them. Despite it being about superheroes, it actually feels realistic. Like I could easily see the world being like this if superheroes actually existed. The writing, acting, score, direction… all of it is a 10/10 for me."

"A very refreshing (and brutal) spin on a very tired sub-genre. The idea of a morally perfect superhero is thrown out the window and instead given a more realistic take on what the world would be like if they were all as imperfect, narcissistic and prone to corruption like anyone else."

"Saw this a while back, but an extremely solidly written and acted show (Anthony Starr, Karl Urban, and Aya Cash MVP), even if I feel like they cross the line a bit in terms of what they show (especially in Season 3). A brilliant subversion of the genre nevertheless. Season 4 update: What a solid character-driven season topped off with a phenomenal finale (one of the best episodes of the series), and a brilliant setup for the final season (Season 5), which will no doubt be bonkers and tense."
