"Melody literally wrote the book on codependency. If you think you have it, or in denial about it, at least just read the first chapter - it's enough to suck you in for more answers to actually understand what you battle with everyday. "

"<strong>Therapy</strong><br/><br/>This book was recommended to me by my sister-in-law who saw similar patterns in my brother and I due to our traumatic childhood. I had never heard the term codependency prior to reading this book. My first impression was “I’m independent. People tell me that all the time. There’s definitely no way this book will give me any insight.” Boy was I wrong. I am codependent and the term has a more in depth meaning than I could’ve expected. Turns out you can be both codependent and independent simultaneously. Reading this was the therapy I didn’t know I needed. I learned a lot about myself, my parents, my siblings, and my significant other. I also highlighted a lot of parts that I can refer back to which isn’t something I spend time doing in other books."
