"read this for the first time at 27 and was pleasantly surprised! it's definitely a child appropriate amount of creepiness. also, her sister who is cognitively disabled (no specific diagnosis given) is very well rounded. there's a lot of different interactions with her that I think would be important for even adults of today to learn from. she also has my favorite lines in the book, and her relationship with her sister (the main character) is very realistic."

"I enjoyed this book, I was able to read it in one sitting in the span of 4 hours. I was able to find a copy of the original in my library, so I'm happy I was able to read it after having it on my radar since 2015!"

"It was so creepy. I liked that the dolls actually moved and showed how the murder played out. I don’t like when stories have a twist that turns out it was just some person messing with them. I like that this story actually deals with the supernatural, ie the dolls moving."
