In the questionable town of Deer Meadow, Washington, FBI Agent Desmond inexplicably disappears while hunting for the man who murdered a teen girl. The killer is never apprehended, and, after experiencing dark visions and supernatural encounters, Agent Dale Cooper chillingly predicts that the culprit will claim another life. Meanwhile, in the more cozy town of Twin Peaks, hedonistic beauty Laura Palmer hangs with lowlifes and seems destined for a grisly fate.

"Strange and viscerally uncomfortable which I expect nothing less from David Lynch. I like the narrative of how the mind can play tricks on you when it comes to trauma out of perfection. I think this was a great way to show Laura Palmer’s last few days on earth and what she was going through and how gut churning it was. I can see why they made this as a separate thing."
"Spooktober: In a year where I've watched many more explicitly horror films including a couple that have been billed to me as some of the "most disturbing of all time" Twin Peaks: Fire Walk with Me is the only one so far that I've felt the need to watch something soft to come down from. I would describe the vibe of this film as "viscerally uncomfortable" for me at least and I kind of loved it. I know Fire Walk With Me is divisive with Twin Peaks fans, and I think that's fair as it's more uncomfortable than Twin Peaks the show ever was and that's not going to be for everyone. Although, I did come to understand things about the story and characters of Twin Peaks through this movie. Whether that's because it's more widely hinted or I'm just more media literate now than when I watched the original at 19 I'm not sure. Possibly both are true. But because of that whatever the reason I do genuinely think this to be a vital piece of Twin Peaks to be taken with everything else. Can't wait to watch The Return in 2035."
