"A classic campy cult flick that was definitely interesting. The end didn’t seem consistent with the rest of the film as far as character arc but it was entertaining throughout."

"Film cannon is full of films with quirky characters who show up and convince others that life is worth living. And simply making that character an old lady didn't seem a substantial enough twist on that formula to shock me. What was interesting to me on viewing is how counter-culture the entire thing feels. This movie has a genuine disdain for institutions that I found entirely refreshing from how much of an ass Harold's high-ranking army uncle is to Maude being a genuine, card-carrying political dissident.
Any connections I make to Harold's character might be too personal for global movie aggregates but I certs saw a lot of my younger self in him. This was very good imo idk."
