"Watched it on HBO. I’m not much into SciFi, but thought it was “pretty good” — but I especially liked the set design & the costumes (suits) — very monochromatic & “desert-y” 🏜 I also thought the ornithopters were cool— the helicopters that look & sound like space age dragonflies. All the acting was fantastic, for sure. — I’ve never seen or read DUNE, so I’ll be curious to see where they take it in the next installment."

"A remake of the Dune film, that is a mix between both the 1984 film and 2003 miniseries. This is only the first half of the book, but sets the stage for second half that will be more action packed compared to the last third of this film. Worth watching as the characters are brought out as they are in the book!"

It could be my distaste for star studded casts, my Anakin-esque dislike for sand planets, or something else I don't completely understand.
