"Shook me up a little. If you have the chance before or after watching, you should read the actually Tennessee Williams play or even just the plot from Wiki- it helped explain a lot of the vague parts in the movie. This movie is not pretty, there is abuse and SA (not shown but you see it lead up to the moment), but if you can stand a watch, it's worth it. "
"Deserves the classic label. Incredibly well directed, written, and acted across the board, with Marlon Brando and Vivien Leigh being standouts (Leigh especially gave a particularly heartbreaking performance, and is probably the greatest Best Actress Oscar winning performance I’ve ever seen)."
