"This has always been one of my favorite films. Yes, it is absurd that immortal people fight and must behead one another. But I recently read that Christopher Lambert knew almost no English when he played Connor Macleod, and I was impressed and a little confused that a French man could play a Scottish character. But now I understand why his accent felt a little misplaced. But as a whole, the film is fun, and you have to love Mr. Crabs himself, Clancy Brown, quote a Def Leppard song at the church when he says: it's better to burn out than to fade away. Love it!"
"Another great 80’s cult classic and with music by Queen. Christopher Lambert & Sean Connery star but Clancy Brown steals the show!"

"The Director's Cut is so much worse..."

"This movie feels like a farce, but I think it is serious. The acting is awkward. The plot is disconnected and feels cut off. I think nostalgia must be the driving what is left of this movie's popularity. I really didn't get it. If you like seeing people getting beheaded and impaled, this might be the movie for you. If you want anything else, I would say look elsewhere."
