"As much as I loved the concept of the movie, the ending just left me with so many unanswered questions. The fact that certain things were never explained was hard for me, but what really bugged me was how easy the ending was when actually, if something like that happened, there is no way everything would have been wrapped up into a nice, neat, pretty little bow. Regardless of us being asked to think outside the box for this movie, the ending still didn't work for me.
The music was awesome, OF COURSE, and the plot was fun, but I wasn't in love with the so-called romance. There was no chemistry. My daughter thinks this movie is a rom-com, but there was very little romance, and what there was took a backseat to the musical career of the main character. And while it was fun, it wasn't particularly funny. There were funny moments, but mostly it felt like more of a drama with a touch of comedy (British humor which earned it an extra star because I love British comedy!) and a bit of romance.
If you want to see an excellent movie all about a psychedelic romance during the Vietnam war, all set to The Beatles music, I can't recommend Across the Universe enough. It's one of my favorite movies of all time and gets a full 5/5*s. This movies get 3.5/5*s. It's worth a watch but it's not terribly good, in my opinion. "

"Very strange premise for this plot but entertaining nonetheless. Of course the music is excellent! Great “twist” near the end which really helps to tie it all up. Overall I liked it. "
