Told from the points of view of both the Baltimore homicide and narcotics detectives and their targets, the series captures a universe in which the national war on drugs has become a permanent, self-sustaining bureaucracy, and distinctions between good and evil are routinely obliterated.

"I know I reviewed this a long time ago and the app updates erased it. This show is worth your time and your heart. It's a painful look into the city's underbelly and the drug trade and the people it effects. This broke my heart in the end. It's worth every minute of the ride. Recommended. "
"This series is incredible from end to end."

"I barely recently finished watching this for the first time and due to the praise it has, expected to be blown away just not sure how. The whole storylines is what makes this show really good. Wasn't blown away and I shrugged. Then afterwards, I thought to myself that there aren't shows like that, really. Writing, characters, plots, actors, I appreciated it so much more afterwards almost involuntarily. Great show "
"One of the most realistic shows ever made. Rewatching it now. Forgot how many allstars are in it too. Teenage Michael B Jordan is in it. Also Method Man. Idris Elba. Season 2 boat episodes are pretty whack. Im skimming through just to watch the jail parts lol. Everything before and after S2 is pure gold. Baltimore accents also."
