Marvel's Jessica Jones

"A chronicle of the life of one of the darker Marvel characters, the mysterious Jessica Jones. When a tragedy puts an end to her short-lived career as a superhero, Jessica settles in New York City and opens her own detective agency, called Alias Investigations, which seems to be called into cases involving people who have special abilities. Suffering from post-traumatic stress syndrome, Jessica wants to do good, but her primary interest isn't in saving the world, it's saving her apartment and getting through each day. Based on a graphic novel intended for adults, this is not a superhero story for the kids. This was painful and a bit brutal at times. David Tennant as Killgrave is brilliant. The entire cast is excellent. Eka Darville as Malcolm was probably my favorite character. Very worth watching. "

"Excellent superhero series. It follows a darker marvel character Jessica Jones who has many demons to face on her way to becoming a hero. I love the dark film noir style and the evolution of the characters. Krysten Ritter is excellent in this series and is the perfect Jessica Jones. I also really like that even though she is part of the defenders you don’t have to watch all the other series to know what’s going on."

"Why do the good ones get cut short?? This was much better than a lot of the repetitive movies marvel puts out. It's not all happiness and flashy same ol storyline so it's refreshing. Well balanced with bad and good events and main character does it so well to not be corny. "

"The first season was fantastic; a good story arc, and Krysten Ritter along with David Tennant really made the show what it was. Then in season two, the show plummeted and I could not stick with it - it was as if the creators hadn't thought past season one, and were unsure of what to do with the surviving characters."
