Just for fun, do you have any hot takes on shipping in your favorite anime? Please don't give me the off-the-wall ones, like how you ship two characters who've never canonically met, lol. Please include the ship and why you prefer it over the more conventional pairings.

Brandon ReedWhen this groundbreaking sci-fi harem anime was broadcast on Toonami, everyone was all, "Ryoko or Ayeka? Ayeka or Ryoko?" And, honestly, Ryoko has such horrendously antisocial tendencies and Ayeka is such a snotty and controlling brat that I wouldn't want Tenchi to end up with either of them. Literally every other option offered to the lad is better. Mihoshi is my favorite, though, as she's light, bubbly, and sweet. She's still a competent fighter and has a strong sense of justice and wanting to do what's right, though. Sasami presents too young outside her Tsunami form (even though she's centuries old), and Washu is a bit of a creep. Noike is a close second to Mihoshi, but she's just a little more reserved and gets introduced too late to be a strong contender.

lyzander crossThis is a bit of a throwback but before Shippuden I shipped Naruto and Hinata and whenever I'd watch naruhina AMVs on YouTube in the comments I'd always see people saying it was never going to happen either from the perspective of I wish it would but know it won't or from the perspective of I'm a Narusaku/Naruto x Sasuke shipper and am rubbing it in your faces... We'll look who got the last laugh now
