"Superheroes are a very individualist ideal due to them following their own justice beyond typical law enforcement. In contrast Academia follows the friendship of shonen with its large cast of characters in school working together to become better heroes. And the moments where a character follow a personal vendetta it brings conflict to other characters. Can’t say it’s my favorite due to but it still has some cool story and character beats that are born from its take on superheroes. "

"It's actually insane how good this show is. I enjoyed the trope in anime where teachers don't openly like their students but will fight for them. This show happened to have that, so I checked it out. I'm so glad I did. I went through the first season craving so much more. Luckily, I found the show late, so there were 3 more seasons, & I had zero intention of stopping. It didn't matter what happened, either. Each season brought in something new & amazing. It made me fall for every character in the world they lived in. I couldn't get enough. The stakes kept rising & the heart of the show just kept growing. It was unstoppable. Now for the bad part. Something did stop it. That was around season 4, I lost interest & just stopped watching despite having more to see. Eventually, I did go back to it after another rewatch. & the same spot made me lose interest, so there's something going down there that only your own fortitude to finish it will make you get past it. But by golly, you need to. Not only does the story continue to expand & make me cry when I'm definitely not expecting to, but it has this grit in the midst of the tear jerking moments. I can't explain it. I don't think there's another show out there with this level of quality to it. I'll admit the later seasons get dark & it can be tough to watch, but you are invested. Plus, the ending battles are phenomenal. You have no idea where it's gonna take you or who's gonna make you laugh, cry, smile, or hate more. I'm constantly shocked by the outcome of things. (Not everything is shocking, some aspects are very predictable, but I promise MHA will surprise you somehow) Overall, I can't recommend this enough. Even the side movies that aren't part of the storyline are highlighted in the main story as Easter eggs. It makes fans feel appreciated by our love & commitment to such a fantastic franchise. Nothing gets left out in the end. You'll feel validated as a viewer & crave more. One more season to go. I can't wait!"

"So my comment is going to be kind of weird, first off most of the villains are just abuse victims whose parents hit them for having weird quirks. Nobody tries to save these abuse victims. In fact these guys are even LGBT friendly. Now the heroes are mostly people who I don't really care for, one is straight up a child abuser and he's our number two hero. Endeavor hurt his children, and is responsible for one going missing and having a facial deformity because of the abuse. Gross."

"My intro to anime… I wasn’t sure what to expect but it’s so SO good. I laugh, I cry, I sit in shock.  I legitimately think about some aspect of this show every single day- it’s one of the best I’ve ever seen. So much thought is put into every quirk, every backstory, every arc. Watching Deku and class 1A grow & become the next generation of heroes is just. everything. Highly recommend "

"I honestly wasn't planning on watching this because it's so main stream and honestly most mainstream anime isn't that good in the character development area. I feel like Deku really resonates with me being in touch with his emotional side. I also really like Lida because he's probably more like me in a logical sense and strives to be like his brother. I totally get that because I look up to my brother (not that I tell him that). I also like that there's not too much over sexualized female characters. "
