After the sex-positive start-up she cofounded becomes an international sensation, she wants to extend her educational platform to live lecturing. Unfortunately, despite her long list of qualifications, higher ed won't hire her.Ethan Cohen has recently received two honors: LA Mag nominated him as one of the city's hottest bachelors and he became rabbi of his own synagogue. Low on both funds and congregants, the executive board of Ethan's new shul hired him with the hopes that his nontraditional background will attract more millennials to the faith. They've given him three months to turn things around or else they'll close the doors of his synagogue for good.Naomi and Ethan join forces to host a buzzy seminar series on Modern Intimacy, the perfect solution to their problems--until they discover a new one--their growing attraction to each other. They've built the syllabus for love's latest experiment, but neither of them expected they'd be the ones putting it to the test.

"I liked this book. I had high hopes for it because I really enjoyed the first book in the series. I did not like this one as much as The Roommate. I found some of the themes a little dry and Naomi was such a fun and dynamic character in The Roommate and that fell flat for me at times in this one. Not an unenjoyable read but I will not think about it in the future. ⭐️⭐️⭐️/5 🌶.5/5. "
"The Intimacy Experiment is the sequel to The Roommate, and I loved both of these books (I may have even loved The Intimacy Experiment a little more). I was a little bit hesitant about the religious setting going in, but it was totally fine - the story was relatable, and I didn't find it to be overwhelming. It was so cute, and I was invested the whole time. I was a little irritated in the third act, but it came back around. This book might have made me cry a little. Anyway, I love Naomi and Ethan, and I would gladly read more books with these characters (and I really like the Shameless concept).

CW - misogyny, slutshaming, mention of cancer / death of a parent"
"I loved The Roommate and really wanted to love this one but it fell flat for me. The premise was super interesting and I loved the sex positivity, but there was too much internal conflict surrounding the relationship that it took away from their chemistry."
