It’s actually a very interesting story. I kept having the song, One Tin Soldier, play in my head as I read it. Lara is a strong female character, which I liked. There’s enough unknowns to keep me reading and guessing. I liked how the story jumped between she and Aren’s points of view for the story telling. Also enjoyed the occasional witty banter. I never miss a budding romance either. I now need to read the next book to find out what happens next. Worth the read, for sure."

victoria_catherine shared a tip "This story was a wonderful adventurous ride! Sailing/pirate vibes at time. Arranged marriage. Strong enemies to lovers slow burn romance. Non-stop action. Assassins, spys, wars between nations. Spice level I’d say 2-3 out of 10. I personally didn’t think it was that explicit and it’s pretty minimal. But the rest of the story is so action packed that I didn’t mind the lack of spice. Definitely recommend if you’re looking for a good adventure read!"
