"My fourth grade teacher traumatized me with this book, and yet I still love it to this day. We were to read the book together over a couple weeks, and then watch the movie on some Friday. I remember almost crying in the middle of class, watching the movie to this book, because I felt so bad for the Shiloh being mistreated by his owner. I would recommend reading this book or even watching the movie. "
